Al-Bayan Center participates in the Second Global South Think Tanks

DialogueAl-Bayan Center for Studies and Planning participated in the Second Global South Think Tanks Dialogue, which was held in Nanjing, China.
The conference brought together 125 think tanks from 95 countries to discuss global development issues.
The conference aimed to launch the Alliance of Think Tanks of the Global South, discuss vital global issues such as security, peace, and protection, build international synergy for development, support equity, and justice to enhance global governance, and deepen mutual learning among civilizations for common progress.

Al-Bayan Center’s speech, delivered by Program Director Mohammed Shahat, stated that the international system is witnessing profound transformations that require attention to cultural pluralism and the avoidance of the imposition of a single cultural model or ready-made solutions at all social, political, and economic levels.

Shahat emphasized that emerging regional and international groupings such as BRICS represent an opportunity to build a more just and democratic world order, noting that the ongoing systematic genocide in Gaza is an opportunity for these new regional and international groupings to prove their sincere intention to promote justice and fairness in the world.

The representative of Al-Bayan Center stressed the need to strengthen global governance, which would consolidate the values of justice in societies, through the alliance of think tanks, by identifying knowledge gaps for decision-makers, developing civil society, and strengthening partnerships between governments.
