As part of the Enhancing Justice in Iraq project, Al-Bayan Center for Planning and Studies held the final session titled: “Decision-making Mechanisms in Provincial Councils”.
The session, which was held to discuss a policy paper by researcher Dr. Abdul Aziz, aimed to identify the most important challenges facing the decision-making process in Iraqi provincial councils, in addition to “examining ways to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of these councils in making decisions that serve the interests of citizens.”
The session, which was attended by several experts and specialists, addressed the legislative and political aspects as well as the applied aspects and discussed many issues.
At the end of the session, the participants came up with a set of recommendations that would enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of decision-making in Iraqi provincial councils.
