Al-Bayan Center for Planning and Studies held a discussion session entitled: “Commercial Arbitration in Iraq.. Reality and Future Prospects,” it aims to discuss the specificity of commercial arbitration in Iraq.

The session was held to discuss a policy paper by the researcher Dr. Ali Dadoush, where he addressed “the privacy of commercial arbitration as an alternative mechanism for resolving economic disputes.”

The session touched on “the reality of commercial arbitration in Iraq and the obstacles they face.”

The session saw the “discussion of the positive aspects and opportunities available to improve the laws supporting this sector, as well as “speed of procedures and privacy, as well as easy implementation.”

Speaking about the draft arbitration law, the session referred to “the future of commercial arbitration in Iraq in accordance with the new law.”

The session concluded by opening the discussion for attendees to ask their questions and exchange and discuss ideas and opinions on how to develop this sector.

The session witnessed the presence of a group of academics and those interested in the Iraqi economy movement.
