Al-Bayan Center for Planning and Studies held a dialogue session entitled: “Building Iraqi Parties After 2003”, which comes within the project of enhancing justice in Iraq.

The session was held to discuss a policy paper by researcher Mustafa Al-Saray, which was based on the views of specialists and researchers, in addition to interviews with politicians, party heads, and activists.

The session discussed “the decade facing the legal system for party building,” as well as “thematic problems of the process of legal organization of parties,” as well as procedures for registration and selection of leaders.

The session witnessed the discussion of law gaps and some legal articles, as well as the registration mechanism and the intersection of data.

The session concluded by opening the door to the discussion to attend and exchange views to come up with proposals,

The session ended with a set of recommendations to deal with the problems facing the law, including amendment recommendations that need to be amended by the Party Law by the Iraqi Council of Representatives, and procedural recommendations by the Department of Parties and political organizations to organize work.

The session was held in the presence of a group of specialists, researchers, and those interested in political affairs.
