The features of government administration in the modern era are formed under the influence of several main trends with different factors, including technological progress, changing citizens’ expectations, and evolving societal needs. Governments that adapt to these trends are better positioned to meet the evolving needs of their citizens and address the complex challenges in the digital age, will be able to drive innovation, improve service delivery, enhance citizen participation, and promote effective governance.
In light of the unprecedented technological changes around the world, digital transformation represents a large part of the government sector’s interest. Therefore, the report on the state of Arab government administration prepared by the World Government Summit, which is a global platform that aims to shape the future for governments around the world and focus on how to benefit from innovation and technology to overcome the global challenges facing humanity. The report during its second version, the most important motivations for digital transformation in the government sector. It also presents a study of the state of digital government administration in the Arab world and highlights the current practices and perceptions adopted by government employees about the adoption of technology in Arab governments.
