“Internet of Things” (IoT) has not been around for long, however, there have been visions of machines communicating with each other since the early 1800s, and those machines providing direct communications since the telegraph had developed (the first land line) in the 1830s and 1840s, which has been described as the “wireless telegraph”. The first wireless voice transmission took place on June 3, 1900, which provided another necessary element for the development of the “internet” of things.
The development of computers began in the 1950s, and with the development of the “Internet”, which is itself an important component of the “Internet of Things”, and as part of DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) in 1962, service providers began This allowed the development of our modern “internet” and GPS satellites to become a reality in early 1993, when the Department of Defense introduced The United States launched a stable, high-performance system out of 24 satellites, followed by a rapid deployment of privately owned commercial satellites placed in orbit.
