The media and Communications Authority has faced an important transformation, particularly after 2003, having been affected by the variables of the political and social environments, as well as problems and legal frameworks relating to press work in Iraq, In the context of providing a secure legal environment for press work in Iraq, this paper aims at getting the opinion of journalists working in media organizations, the purpose of this survey is to learn the opinion of journalists working in media organizations of all kinds and orientations, the Media and Communications Authority is treated as a watchdog for their work.
The presented paper was based on a survey of journalists’ perceptions and opinions of the work of the Media and Communications Agency of Iraq.
Systematically, the field study relied on an electronic survey consisting of 7 questions addressed to 359 journalists, accessed through the sample available throughout the provinces, as representatives of the Iraqi journalists’ segment.
