Poverty, education, health care, and entrepreneurship readings indicate that women are among the most affected by instability in the country, as well as social legacies and economic policies that have contributed to women’s low role in the national economy.
This document reviews preliminary indicators on Iraqi women and highlights the current situation of their economic participation, and hence the challenges and strategic orientations to overcome the obstacles they face, as well as the indicators needed to monitor and evaluate interventions aimed at the economic empowerment of women.
