On Saturday March 23, Al-Bayan Center for Planning and Studies hosted a seminar to launch the second annual conference report entitled “Education for Sustainable Development”. Among the attendees were researchers speclialised in education, as well as officials from the Ministry of Education.
The seminar included two presentations: the first by Dr. Ehsan Mohammed Al-Hadithi and the second by Dr. Ahmed Kanaan Al-Jaafari. Both referred to the possible mechanisms to improve the outputs of education and how they can meet the needs of the market. They also focused on raising the quality standards of teaching methods, curricula, and certificates to meet internationally accepted standards in order to meet the country’s economic needs and help achieve sustainable development.
The seminar included questions and remarks from the audience about the problems facing the education system in Iraq and several proposals to help develop the sector in the country.
