Al-Bayan Center participated in an evening discussion hosted by the Spanish ambassador, Hansi Escobar, to discuss the challenges of constitutional and legislative reform in Iraq.
The event was attended by the Minister of Electricity, the head of the European Union delegation to Iraq, members of parliament, the head of the Iraqi Lawyers Union, and other specialists.
Discussions focused on the implementation of key constitutional provisions through a process that creates dialogue between Iraq’s political elite to address important issues including federalism, electoral reform and responding to the basic needs to citizens.
Al-Bayan Center is committed to engaging with both Iraqi policymakers and the international community on addressing the multitude of challenges facing Iraq by conducting public policy research that seeks to reform the country’s institutional capacity.
