Al-Bayan Center was invited to attend a dinner at the German embassy in Baghdad to discuss the 2019 Federal Budget.
The dinner was hosted by the German Deputy Chief of Mission and included Professor Ali Al-Mamouri from Baghdad University. Discussions focused on a critical examination of the current budget draft and broader issues related to tackling corruption within the public sector and encouraging private sector growth and investment.
Al-Bayan Center is committed to engaging with both Iraqi policymakers and the international community on addressing the multitude of challenges facing Iraq by conducting public policy research that seeks to reform the country’s institutional capacity.
