Al-Bayan Center hosted the European Union’s head of development and cooperation for Iraq, Augusto Piccagli, to discuss some of the economic challenges facing the country and ways to advance cooperation between Iraq and the EU.
Discussions focused on policy measures to enhance job growth, particularly within the private sector, and initiatives to strengthen Iraq’ export market. Mr. Piccagli noted the importance of providing vocational skills training for young people.
Al-Bayan Center works to advance public policy in Iraq by engaging with experts and practitioners in order to address the country’s most pressing developmental needs.
